Mumbai Monday was host to the festival of Janmashtami, a Hindu celebration which features a unique physical competition called the "Dahi Handi." The practice involves creating giant human pyramids in an attempt to smash a clay pot that is hung very high in the air.
Some of the pyramids can reach nine layers tall, and over 300 injuries were reported by Monday evening. A number of videos shot at the festival are among the most-shared in India today and we've pulled together a few of them into the playlist below.
